Once logged in to your webpage as a content manager, you will notice a series of icons in the bottom right-hand corner. These icons give an overview of the accessibility issues detected on your page. If issues are found, the icon will display either critical issues that must be fixed (red) or issues that need to be manually reviewed (yellow). If there are no issues found, the icon will display in blue with a checkmark icon.

Red alerts must be fixed

Yellow alert icon with one issue identified
Yellow alerts could potentially be an issue, but need to be checked manually

Blue alert icon with checkmark to signal no issues found
A blue checkmark means there are no issues detected

To view and correct any critical (red) issues, hover over the right side of the icon and click the arrow to navigate to the first accessibility issue on the page. Then hover over the colored circle to see an explanation of the accessibility issue and how to fix it. You may need to navigate to the Edit tab in order to fix the issue within the content.

To review issues that need to be manually checked (yellow), hover over the right side of the icon and click the arrow to navigate to the first accessibility issue on the page. Then hover over the colored circle to see an explanation of the accessibility issue and how to fix it. Make corrections in the Edit tab, if needed. As issues have been corrected, they will be removed from the issue icon.

If the issue has been fixed or does not need fixing, check the “Mark as ignored” button. This button will hide the error, but only for you and not everyone. Checking the “Mark as OK” button will hide the error for everyone, but if the error is still present your site could be flagged. If you are unsure of an error, please reach out to your web team or accessibility liaison.
