
- Place your cursor in the Body field where you want to place your image.
Click the "Insert Media" icon in the toolbar
ImageA new pop-up window will appear. From here, you can select an existing image from the library below or upload an image from your computer by clicking the "Choose File" button.
ImageWhen uploading a new image, you will be prompted to enter Alternative Text, this text should describe what the image is for screen readers. You can also enter a caption or photo credit in this step, but it is not required and you will have the option to add a caption at a later step. Click the "Save" button.
ImageYou will be taken back to the initial upload screen and your newly uploaded image will be selected. Click the "Insert selected" button to insert your image.
ImageBy default, your image will be set to 400px wide with no alignment. To edit the size and alignment click on the image to open up a pop-up window with additional formatting options.
ImageTo change the size of the image, expand the dropdown that, by default, is set to "Medium 400px". Additional options for image sizes include Small 250px, Portrait 3:2 (this will crop your image), Square (this will crop your image), Full Width (this will expand your image to the width of the page, smaller images may look pixelated with this option), and Original Size (this will not format your image, it will revert to the image's original dimensions).
Image- To change the alignment, select one of the alignment options on the right-hand side of the image options box. Image options include no alignment, align left, align right, and align center. If you choose align center, your image will automatically be set to 60% of the page width.
From the image formatting window, you can also add a caption by checking the "Toggle caption on" icon. This will create a new space under your image where you can enter a caption or photo credit.
