Navigation categories are typically preset using established terminology. See the University Guidelines for information on naming navigation categories. If your unit has specific navigation needs that fall outside these guidelines, contact your unit’s Office for Communications and Marketing for assistance.
Adding a Content Page to a menu
- In the Edit tab of your content page, click on the "Menu settings" tab to expand more options.
Image
- Click the "Provide a menu link" toggle on (green) to expand additional fields.
Image
- The "Menu link title" field should prepopulate with the title of your page. If you would like your menu link title to be different than your page title you can edit this field. For example, if your page title is long, you can condense or abbreviate the menu link title. Just be sure that your menu titles make sense in relation to your page title.
- The Description field can be left blank.
- Expand the "Parent link" dropdown to place the page into a navigation category. For example, if you would like your page to appear under Academics, select that menu item as your parent link.

- The "Weight" field can be left alone.
- Save your Content Page to save the menu settings
