By default, the Illinois Framework will list all of the News content type nodes at the address "/news".  Some sites will want to use that address for other purposes.  There are several options to make this change.

If you do not want to list news articles in an archive at this URL, you can  simply change the pre-set URL for the view.

  1. In the Admin Toolbar, go to Structure -> Views
  2. Click the Edit button for the News view
  3. Click the News Archive Page display
  4. In the middle column of settings, click the "/news" next to Path:
  5. Change the URL and click Apply
  6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the view page

Remove the News Archive Page display

If you want NO news archive, you can remove the "News Archive Page" display.

  2. Click the Edit button for the News view
  3. Click the News Archive Page display
