Adding a giving page is done in two parts, creating a Giving Fund and adding it to a Fund Listing Page. You can add any number of giving funds to a fund listing page. To create a giving fund and publish a fund listing page, you will need to work with the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF). They can be contacted at the following address: creditcardsignup@uif.uillinois.edu

Create a Giving Fund

  1. Go to Content > Add Content > Giving Fund

  2. Type in the Title for your fund. This title must exactly match the title of the fund provided by UIF.
  3. For the body, add in a brief description of your fund (optional)
  4. Add your Fund ID. The creation of new funds must be coordinated with the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF). They can be contacted at the following address: creditcardsignup@uif.uillinois.edu. They will be able to provide the Fund ID for a new fund.
  5. By default, gift amounts are $500, $250, $100, and $50, you can adjust these default amounts or leave them as-is. It is recommended that you provide no more than 5 gift amount options. An option for 'other amount' will automatically appear for users to choose, if they wish to give a custom amount that differs from the options you provide.

  6. Save your page

Create a Fund Listing Page

  1. Go to Content > Add Content > Fund Listing Page

  2. Type in a title for your page. This title does not have to match the giving fund(s).
  3. Type in your Department Name. This will need to match the department associated with your giving fund(s).
  4. If you are creating a new Fund Listing page or adding a new fund, you will need to check 'Test Mode' before saving the page. This ensures that users cannot submit gifts while the form is being evaluated by UIF. UIF can be contacted at the following address to help test this form: creditcardsignup@uif.uillinois.edu. Once you get the OK from UIF, uncheck 'Test Mode' and save the page.

  5. If UIF provides a tracking code, enter it into the tracking code field.
  6. Enter a brief summary of this page in the Header field (optional). Anything entered in this field will display before the listing of funds.
  7. In the Funds field, begin typing in the name of your giving fund into the autocomplete field and select it from the dropdown. To add multiple giving funds to a page, click 'Add another item'

  8. If you would like to allow users to enter their own custom fund in addition to the giving funds you've added to this page, check "Write-in Fund"

  9. Enter any additional information about this page in the Footer field (optional). Anything entered in this field will display after the listing of funds.
  10. Save your page. Contact UIF at creditcardsignup@uif.uillinois.edu to evaluate your form.
